We are industrial plant and machinery valuers. We provide valuations of the plant and equipment found at large and complex industrial processes or equally at the humble local machine or fabrication shop. As Chartered Surveyors, members of the Australian Property Institute and members of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute, we provide professional valuations for Financial purposes associated with Book and Tax values relating to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Australian equivalent or AIFRS. The valuations may be also be merger or aquisition driven or the sale of the business as an on-going entity itself.
We are very much at home with due-diligence matters and can prepare detailed asset registers of what is physically on site (and off site) with all details and in turn reconcile that with any existing register. Many registers are unfortunatly inherited and can prove to be wonderful works of fiction.
Our experience and expertise now spans 41 years and safe to say that there are not many suprises left. Our expertise also covers the valuation of IP or Intellectual Property and includes values regarding patents, copyright, software and computer systems.This expertise has come of necessity as IP is now a well defined and inseparable part of any modern business - industrial or commercial
The production guidance manual or the occupational health and safety manual may be have a supprising dollar value as they are now identifiable assets and can be depreciated under some circumstances for tax. They would normally be lost in the great grey area of Good will.
These days,valuers now must now look at the business being valued in its entirety and have regard to all the factors and forces involved that may affect or have a bearing on the final outcome, including the relatively little known word - impairment.
